Anime 2030 NPC File – Staff of OEAOE
The following
character profile images are taken from various different anime shows. The info
here is not intended to accurately reflect the characters as they are in the
shows, but rather this page is about who the NPCs are this particular RPG
- Principle Ozen “will glare at you” Yabunden
PHDs in History,
Psychology, Sociology and “intimidation”
He is an
expert with people and has built a top notch staff. He has worked as teacher at
both university and high school levels. He may not have the power to read minds
but his observational skills are so great he sees the truth about people with
alarming ease.
He is a
major contributor to the financing of the school. His fortune seems to be based
on real wealth not linked to stocks or business assets. A rather mysterious
man, he often goes on research trips to Europe.
One of the more crazy rumors about him is that he also runs a guild of magic
using mercenaries.
- Vice Principle Yuri “don’t miss the deadline” Omina
A skilled
administrator, she can juggle a million things at once. Although she often
looks rundown she is a workaholic and has no idea what to do with free time.
From an average family she believes strongly in the school’s mandate; ‘to
produce better people’, not just to drill the basics of education into them.
Her
greatest strength is her will power and determination to do the right thing.
- Professor Erzo “monotone” Takashi
Chief of
the history department. His students often joke that he is old enough to have
lived through everything he teaches. The truth is they are right, but that is
only half the story. He is mysterious in that he is never seen outside the
class room. He never attends social functions. He never answers personal
questions. He generally ignores anything students do, unless they ask questions
directly related to his lectures.
-
Caption Jack “try to put yourself in their shoos” Karatomi
Chief of
the social studies department. He has a long list of occupations and has been
around the world more than a few times. His more colorful experiences include
being a rebel freedom fighter in America and a pirate in the
Pacific. Not surprisingly, he tells students to go out and live life to its
fullest, because experience is the best teacher.
- Miss Yukari “don’t start with me” Tanizaki
Chief of
the linguistics section. She is bubbly and full of energy, a favorite teacher
of many students, although she is not very dedicated or even focused on her
job. She is competent in two dozen foreign languages. She often goes on rants
about seemingly pointless things. She frequently is hung over on Monday
morning.
- Mr. Kimura “that’s right bend over” Yashido
Chief of
the literature section, he is a master poet and knowledgeable in the classics
of many nations. Unfortunately he is often assumed to be a total pervert. A
rather odd man to say the lest, he spends his free time at school writing
satirical or obscene poems.
- Prof. Ario “you can’t be original, but you can try” Yaharo
Chief of
the philosophy department. He is an expert on the non-mystical teachings of all
the world’s great thinkers. A very bright and cynical man; he occasionally
laments how the world has so few philosopher kings and so many morons with
missiles.
- Father Erza “it helps to believe in something” Scarlet
A fully
ordained Christian priest; he is head of the school’s religious studies
section. Not a hard line traditionalist at all, he is knowledgeable in all
belief systems and quite tolerant of them. Some students mistakenly believe him
to be agnostic.
- Professor Tahagi “fear is good for you” Snape
Director of
the mythology department. ‘Teacher of the dark arts.’ His students sometimes
say. He knows a great deal about magic and witch craft, and acts as if he
believes they are real. Of course his class is not about spell casting, but
about how beliefs in it have affected people and still do today.
- Professor Kevin “it’s all about steam” Arkwright
Chief of the physical science department. A
former teacher in England,
from a noble family, he is an expert on thermal physics. His hobby is steam
engines and he will talk about them a lot. ‘Even a nuclear reactor is really
just a big steam turbine.’ A very serious man of science, he demands that his
students show good logic in their work.
- Miss Shizuka “nature is complicated” Nekonome
Chief of the biology section. She is often
distracted and easily led off topic. On the other hand she is a brilliant
genetics engineer with a passion for spending time out in nature. She will
frequently take her class on field trips; to fields, forests and mountains.
Most of her students are shocked to learn that she is a skilled survivalist.
- Doctor “don’t touch that yet” Watt
Assistant
director of the physical science department. He is a very odd fellow, often
stepping out of class for a few minutes and returning in different clothes.
Although he is an expert in a wide range of sciences, filling in for any teacher
who may be absent, his specialty is astronomy. He follows the space programs of
all nations very closely. Rumor has it that he is one of the original
scientists on the Macross Project.
- Sensei Kento “1001011010011101” Sony
Chief of the Information Technology department.
He is a computer wizard who turned down high paying corporate work to become a
teacher, because its more fun to show kids how to hack the system. Of course he
does not promote cyber crime, that’s just his image. He is really a very
friendly and easy going teacher always having fun with his students.
- Doctor Hitomi “image is everything” Ishigami
Director of
the art department. She is Japanese, although she does not look it. A master at
a wide range of visual arts, she got her PHD in Paris working on cosmetics and makeup.
Although she puts on a polite and cheerful front, she is really quite serious
about her work and demands he students do their best. She is also advisor to
the theater club.
- Prof. Armando “paint with soul not with brush” De’Angelo
Deputy art
director. His is Italian, charming and temperamental. Brilliant at both
traditional painting methods and digital art, he does not usually take his job too
seriously. ‘Anyone can have fun with art, but only a few have the passion to be
real artists.’ If he thinks a student has that spark he will do whatever he can
to make them realize it.
- Miss Sawako “one more time” Yamanaka
Chief of
the music department, she specializes in modern music. A very nice woman most
people find it hard to believe she was the star of Death Devil; a hard rock
band she started in her high school days. She is always in demand as advisor to the
music clubs.
-
Professor Lee “listen very carefully” Ching
Deputy of
the music department, he specializes in classical music. A very polite man, who
demands perfection; his students often hate him, but later value his teachings.
He is fond of telling how he won a fiddle duel with the devil when we went to
visit Vienna. If
you enter his class with out a good knowledge of the classic European
composers, heaven help you.
- Coach Togo “do it or else” Bronson
Chief of
the sports department. If you ever had nightmares about a mean gym teacher,
they were about him. He believes in pushing students till they drop, kicking them and yelling for them to get up and keep going. As most students
guess, he is a retired army drill sergeant. He is also the coach for the soccer
and basketball teams.
- Miss Minamo “do your best” Kurosawa
Deputy
sports director. She is friendly and down to earth. She encourages her students
but does not push them. She is the gym teacher people hope they get. She is also
the baseball and swimming coach. At sports festivals her all star team faces off
with that of Coach Togo,
in a down and dirty competition.
- Kendo Sensei Cat Meowara
Chief
weapons instructor for blades. He is a 5ft tall talking cat, or so it seems. He
always attends class in his cat suit, which appears amazingly genuine. Thus it
is a favorite game for students to try and get a look at his real face. A
skilled unarmed fighter and master of the sword he is a man of few words. He
forces students to meditate and learn bushido in addition to blade training.
- Miss Siam “don’t ask about the arm” Shaya
She is chief weapons instructor for firearms. A
first generation genetically enhanced ‘super soldier’, she retired to peruse a
less bloody and more meaningful career. Although she is qualified to teach Middle East social studies, few people sign up for that
class.
- Prof. Tenju “I know it’s a drag but you have to do it” Bunshichi
He is chief
of the ‘shops’ elective department, and acts as advisor to various combat
clubs. He is lazy to the extreme, but bright enough to get his work done. A
skilled mechanic and wood worker, he is best known for his younger days as an
MMA fighter. Although not formally trained in any martial arts he was
considered one of the nations most dangerous ‘tough guys’.
- Doctor Okuto “rest here for a moment” Notari
Chief of
the medical staff. He does not care what grades students get, he is there to
see that they survive their school days, with mind and body healthy. Although
he is young, he is a fully qualified surgeon and psychologist.
- Mr. Taminori “don’t brake that” Sendo
Chief of
the maintenance department. He was actually one of the workers who built the
school. Few people can say they love this place more than him. So please
students don’t make his life miserable by destroying stuff.
Note; This has been an introduction to the staff at OEAOE, of course there are many other valuable teachers and persons working here, but they don't get a profile yet.
